Prof. Tetsuji Yamada is a Professor of Health Economics, Department of Economics, Center for Children and Childhood Studies, Department of Childhood Studies Rutgers University, USA. Dr. Tetsuji is doing research on “accessibility to healthcare services and health disparity” with Japanese researcher as an Invited Research Scholar, Department of Community Health and Preventive Medicine of Hamamatsu University School of Medicine, Japan and on “aging issues” with Japanese researchers as a Research Scholar of the Hosei on Aging in Hosei University, Japan. He is currently a researcher for the Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center, ASIA Health Policy Program, Stanford University; California. Dr. Yamada is currently an Advisor of the Committee on Aging Issues, the Japanese American Associate of New York, serves on the Academic Advisory Board for Taking Sides: Clashing Views on Economic Issues and Clashing Views in Global Issues by McGraw-Hill Contemporary Learning Series. Dr. Tetsuji Yamada completed his Ph.D. and M.Phil. in Health Economics from the Graduate School and University Center of the City University of New York; M.I.A. in International Affairs and Public Policies from Columbia University in New York; and B.A. in Economics from Toyo University in Japan. His numerous publications appear in health and health economics fields.

Dr. Yamada has published more than 100 research papers, been internationally active in presenting research papers at various professional conferences, and served an editor, an editorial board member, a referee and a reviewer for professional journals, books and research funding organizations. He has professional experience in the field of Health Economics. His core research interests include Applied Microeconomics, Economics of Health Behavior and Health Education, Cost Benefit,/Effective Analysis, Capital markets, entrepreneurship He is a member of core American Public Health Association, American Society of Health Economists, Japan-USA-UK Health Policy Learning, New York Health Policy Group, Omicron Delta Epsilon, International Health Economics Association, International Society of Quality of Life Studies.
